Sunday Seminar

There are many good parachurch ministries that do good, gospel work. What is a parachurch ministry? Is such biblical? Can it enhance the work of the local church? What if it begins to function as a church? During tonight’s session our pastors will look at the distinctive differences between church and parachurch and share some red flags regarding some groups.

Fifth Sunday Family Worship

On each 5th Sunday of a month, we will not offer preschool groups during the morning worship service. Rather, we invite parents to bring their little ones to worship with them. We understand that this is not common in church today, but we believe that there is great benefit and blessing for all ages to gather together for worship. Yes, even preschoolers. So, bring your babies, toddlers, the two-, three-, and four-year-olds to worship with you. Don’t worry, we’re ready and they will NOT be a distraction. What a joy to have the littlest in our families sitting beside (or running down an aisle, maybe) while their parents and grandparents and church family members worship next to them.

Milestone 4: Purity for Life

  • First Baptist Church of Orange Park - Student Building (map)

During junior high, it becomes obvious that we must address “SEX” from a biblical perspective. Our student ministry partners with parents by teaching students the importance of accountability, healthy friendships, and biblical standards for purity. At the same time we think it is much more important for students to learn these principles from their parents. We coach parents to focus on these issues in faith talks and intentional conversations before, and throughout the junior high/middle school years.

This seminar covers topics like: The Biblical Standard For Purity, Spiritual Training of Teens: Parent Roles and Church Roles, Identity in Christ, Accountability and Communication.

This conference is FREE and is for parents of students in junior and senior high school.
